You can often return jewellery that you have bought to the shop where you bought it, as long as you have a valid receipt. It is always worth keeping the receipt in case you decide to do this. However, there are some circumstances in which you won’t be able to return jewellery that you should be aware of before buying.
You often won’t be able to return jewellery like earrings, or jewellery for body piercings, as these cannot be sold on by the shop if you have worn them. This will usually be detailed on the product itself and on the receipt when you purchase it. However, if the product is damaged in any way, you should be able to return it as normal as the shop wouldn’t be selling it again. Make sure you keep your receipt in this instance and return the jewellery as soon as possible, so that it is clear it isn’t accidental damage caused by you.
